Edwin Burnett

Welcoming Others Home

Every day Americans are filling up moving trucks, signing papers, and getting sets of keys to new properties.

Thanks to professionals like you, they have a powerful ally on their side to help them get to the finish line.

Positive Spark
Edwin Burnett provides that same positive energy to those around him, as well.

As a Real Estate Broker with Better Beach Rentals and Sales, Edwin helps welcome people to their new home and the next point in their journey in life.

In the process, he has a special place in his heart for being an active advocate for them choosing Brunswick County as their new home.

“I love Introducing people to the area I call home. People are coming here from all over the country. I really appreciate being able to be that guide for them,” Edwin says.

“I try to provide value to my clients and support their decision. Through time, it has helped me working in this area and having the local knowledge that I have.”

Deep Local Roots
Edwin was born in Wilmington and moved to Oak Island when he was 10.

“My father has been a developer in the area for 35 years,” he recalls. “We moved to Southport for a project he was working on, and immediately fell in love with the area.”

As he came of age and completed high school, Edwin went on to earn a Management and Society degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Early Steps
Real estate had long been on Edwin’s radar. After he graduated, he worked for a year, saving up money and earning his real estate license in 2017.

“From there, I dove into the business. I was extremely blessed with a strong real estate market. Business took off for me in 2019 and 2020 and it has carried on from there,” Edwin says.

“In addition, I’m also doing some development work with my father on a couple of projects.”

Nothing But the Best
Each day, Edwin is driven by a strong passion to give his best for those he serves.

Along the way, he is quick to shine the spotlight on others who have been there to mentor and support him, including John Hamilton.

Rewarding World
Edwin is extremely thankful for his family, as well, including his wife, Meagan and 1-year-old daughter, Millie.

“Meagan owns a hair salon in Wilmington,” he says. “She has also been a huge supporter for what I do each day.”

Away from work, Edwin loves spending time at the beach. Another favorite is getting out on the water on a boat as an avid fisherman.

Golf is a big passionate pursuit for Edwin. In addition, Edwin likes to spend time with friends and family.

When it comes to giving back, Edwin likes to support the Pediatric Oncology Center at UNC Children’s Hospital, and their work in the Chapel Hill area and beyond.

“I was a cancer patient when I was 2 years old,” Edwin says. “They still hold a special place in my heart.”

Selfless Service
With a selfless, knowledgeable and caring approach, Edwin makes a vital difference in the lives of those who rely on his experience and expertise.

“I try to treat everyone the way I want to be treated and provide as much useful information as I can to my client … and to be valuable to them and trustworthy. I want to make a real difference for them.”

Clearly, Edwin Burnett does.
