Cali & Associates

Family Owned, Family Focused

Ian Cali has a fond memory of when he was a fourth-grade student, helping his family in the best way he could.  “While we watched ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos,’ I would be sealing envelopes,” Ian said.
The reason: Each envelope had a mailer about the family insurance business, which basically consisted of his father, Tony.  It was a grassroots way to spread the word to their community, mainly Bellbrook, about the home and auto insurance services offered by Tony Cali and Associates.
That was then.  This is now.  Ian is grown, and after seven years as a nursing home administrator – “I loved talking to older people and helping them navigate health care” – he’s joined the family business, now Cali & Associates, Allstate insurance.  He now sees coaching families through life decisions as a calling.
“We are a family organization,” Ian says with pride.  “We emphasize the family aspect of insurance.  We offer property and casualty insurance, on homes and autos.  We also talk about financial planning, with everyone from college students through retirement.”
Ian said Cali & Associates, with his father as principal agent and him as a sales lead, is increasing its focus on being the local, neighborhood insurance agency accessible to all.  “We are the insurance specialist. Between our ten agents we have a collective 150 years of experience and serve over 4,400 families,” Ian says.
That accessibility goes beyond clients.  Ian says Cali & Associates has a phone line dedicated to mortgage loan officers and real estate agents.  “That way when a REALTOR® needs us, he or she can get ahold of us simply.  Our team realizes we are an extension of their transaction and assisting REALTORs® to close deals.”
His father remains a constant connection to the community.  Over the years, Tony sponsored and coached youth teams, school events, Boy Scouts, and youth ministry.  Another involvement was the formation of the Family 1st Foundation, dedicated to fostering strong families through the development of fathers.  “This supports young men to grow into the role of being good fathers,” Ian says.
Ian has partnered with his father, becoming the next generation focused on the core values of service, availability, education, and compassionate service – ensuring a continued commitment to the community.
