For proof of that, you can see the work done each day by Senior Loan Officer Jessica Babinski and Movement Mortgage. 

Jessica leads the Babinski Lending Team at Movement Mortgage. In the process, she has a tireless passion for building strong bonds.

“I love working with REALTORS® and having us become more or less a team together. The Realtors I work with become my good friends,” Jessica says with a warm smile. 

“I love building those relationships, along with talking with clients and getting them set up and helping them through the process.”

Jessica got a very early start on her path in the business. After graduating from high school, she went on to earn her degree in finance from James Madison University. 

Finding New Opportunities

While working as a bartender, Jessica waited on the CEO of a mortgage company — C&F Bank. He asked her if she was interested in selling mortgages there.

“I ended up taking him up on that offer and went through training there,” she remembers. “In May 2003, I came to Charlotte and started selling right out of college, when I was 21.”

From there, Jessica went on to join the Wyndham Capital Mortgage team. At Wyndham, she worked with a lot of online leads in a call-center environment. She worked there from 2003 to 2007 when she started her own company with Laura Dunning — Paramount Lending. They led that company until 2011, when it merged with Movement Mortgage, which, at the time, was New American Mortgage.

Today, Jessica feels blessed to be surrounded by a top-notch team, including her Junior Partner Kyra Grotsky and Production Manager Michael Van Blarcom, who has worked with Jessica for nearly 10 years. Another valued member of her team is Jen Tessicini, who serves as the group’s marketing director.

Those who have had the chance to know and work with Jessica appreciate the way she and her team have what Jessica calls “an around-the-clock customer service-centric mortgage team.”

With Jessica’s years of experience, blended with creative problem solving and care, she is able to offer loan solutions that make a difference.

“I take pride in coming up with unique solutions. I have clients who come back to me with second homes, kids, friends and investment properties,” she says. 

“I also appreciate the fact that REALTORS® come to me to be a resource for them and their clients. I always welcome their calls and questions that they have for me. I just appreciate having the chance to help them in those moments.”

Away from work, Jessica’s world is made much richer by her family, including her husband, Art, and their children: son Artie IV, daughter Ava, and daughter Addi. They also have two mini-Labradoodles they adore, named Lady and Lilah.

In her free time, Jessica likes to stay very active. One of her pastimes is playing tennis. Others include running and listening to her favorite music.

With her friendly, hard-working and very responsive nature, Jessica puts plans into motion that end up making a difference in the lives of those she serves — her real estate partners and their clients.
