Daniela Pagani

Relocation Vocation

Behind every deal is a unique story,” says broker Daniela Pagani. “I became a REALTORⓇ because I wanted to make the home-buying experience better, especially for those navigating the complexities of relocation—a challenge I know well from personal experience.”

Growing up in Mexico City, Daniela was surrounded by a tapestry of cultures that shaped her outlook on life. Her father’s Swiss heritage and her mother’s Colombian roots brought a unique blend of resilience and adaptability to her upbringing. Because the family moved frequently during her childhood, Daniela also developed a knack for navigating transitions, a skill that would become integral to her professional success.

“Those transitions gave me a deep appreciation for the importance of finding not just a house, but a true sense of home,” she says.

Though Daniela initially dreamed of becoming a doctor, her path veered toward nutrition, where she discovered her talent for supporting others through life-changing decisions. After earning her credentials as a registered dietitian, Daniela worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, helping clients meet their health goals.

“Communication, trust, and organization were key in that role,” she says. “Those same skills have proven invaluable in real estate.”

Daniela found herself continuing the trend of moving many times after marrying her husband, a successful physician. Through the many relocations that came with his career, the idea of transitioning to real estate began to take shape.

“Because I’ve long understood, firsthand and deeply, how challenging moving can be, I wanted to make that process smoother for others. At the same time, I sought a career that would give me the flexibility to be present and actively involved in my children’s lives,” Daniela recalls. “Real estate has allowed me to balance my professional ambitions with my commitment to my family, creating a truly fulfilling path.”

In 2016, Daniela took the leap into real estate. Although her previous work experiences and skills were of great benefit, the transition wasn’t without its hurdles. “Starting out in a competitive market like Chicago was daunting,” Daniela admits. “But I focused on building systems, being methodical, and prioritizing exceptional customer service.”

Her ability to truly empathize with clients and her sharp analytical skills quickly set her apart.

“I’ve always loved numbers and strategy,” she says. “Analyzing market trends and pricing strategies is just as important as understanding the human side of real estate.”

Daniela’s success stems from her deep commitment to her clients. Many of her referrals come from families she’s helped relocate—the process and experience she knows so intimately.

Her dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. In one particularly smooth transaction, she worked with fellow broker Jennifer Mills Klatt, who represented the buyer. That collaboration was so seamless it inspired Pagani to join Mills Klatt’s Home Discovery Team, solidifying a partnership built on mutual respect and shared goals.

Beyond her professional achievements, Daniela is deeply involved in her community. She has supported the Joffrey Ballet and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, a nod to her grandfather’s legacy as an opera singer. Today she focuses on raising awareness for Autism Speaks, a cause that’s been close to her heart since one of her sons was diagnosed with autism.

“This journey has opened my eyes to the educational challenges many families face,” she says. “I’m passionate about advocating for greater understanding and support.”

Family is the cornerstone and heartbeat of Daniela’s life. Her three children—Alessandro, Francesco, and Maria—bring joy and balance to her busy schedule. Whether cheering Alessandro on during basketball games, admiring Francesco’s artistic creations, or enjoying movie nights with Maria, Daniela cherishes these moments. Their two dogs, Sambuca and Bella, often join her on peaceful walks along the lakefront, where she finds solace amid the bustle of city life.

In her downtime, Daniela enjoys traveling, skiing, and playing golf—activities that reflect her commitment to an active and healthy lifestyle. A vegetarian for nearly twenty-five years, she’s as mindful about wellness as she is about her professional goals.

“Staying balanced is essential,” she says. “It helps me bring my best self to everything I do.”

Looking ahead, Daniela is excited about expanding her presence in the Miami real estate market while continuing to serve clients in Chicagoland. She’s also focused on growing her relocation business, leveraging her personal experiences to help others find not just houses, but homes.

“Real estate is about relationships,” she says. “It’s about trust, care, and creating positive experiences.”

Daniela’s advice for aspiring top producers reflects her own journey: “Build strong systems and focus on exceptional customer service,” she says. “People will always remember how you made them feel.”

For Daniela, success isn’t just measured in sales; it’s measured in the trust and gratitude of her clients.

“Helping people achieve their dreams while staying true to my values is what drives me,” she says. With Daniela’s unwavering dedication, the future looks as bright as the skyline she loves.
