Savanna Perkins, Front Line Team
A Mover and a Shaker with a Message
It would be fair to call Savanna Perkins a mover and shaker – especially the mover part. She, her husband, and their five children moved multiple times, whether it be buying a fixer-upper or building a new home, all within the Miamisburg-Springboro-Waynesville area.
Why? Well, because in a sense she can’t sit still. She started her own interior design business and carried over that knack to her own houses. “I have a passion for interior design – taking a house that needs work and that most look at and say, ‘Ugh, this needs too much work.’ It’s the excitement of making something new again. I can transform spaces visually and bring them to life with a budget mindset. Once I run out of projects, I get the urge to move.”
She said her husband, Greg, has been on board with this lifestyle, “but not anymore. That’s why I became a REALTOR®.”
Once she set her mind on becoming a REALTOR®, she did just that, successfully so. Savanna was named the Rookie of the Year for the Bella Realty Group, specifically with the Frontline Team, based in Bellbrook. In her first year, she had more than $2.5 million in sales. Savanna said she takes the passion she had – and still has – for interior design and applies it to helping people who are looking for a house.
There’s another reason why Savanna, a native of the village of Casstown, near Troy, went into real estate: her growing family. “When I found out in 2020 that I was having twins, I knew I couldn’t go back to a 9 to 5 job. I was looking for something I could do so I could be with my children, and still have a full-time income.” She took classes online and earned her license in November 2021 – “when they were eight months old.”
Today those twin boys – Crew and Brexton – are 2, joined by sister Allexah, 17, and brothers Maverick, 12, and Kash, 8.
Savanna credits her real estate success to a large network she built in her previous business ventures and to her entrepreneurial spirit. Immediately after graduating from Miami East High School, she jumped into the world of work with both feet, gaining experience working in customer service, property management, human resources, marketing and sales, all the while looking for ways to create extra income whether it was making or selling items in high demand at the time.
“I help a lot of first-time homeowners who are coming out of renting,” Savanna said. “They thank me for always being available and for answering what they call crazy questions.” But to her, there are no crazy questions. “I’m not a pressure agent. I’m very much about making people feel comfortable. Buying a home is a big purchase!”
There’s another aspect to her being a mover and shaker, as in someone who influences people. “I’m a huge advocate for cystic fibrosis and autism awareness. I have a 5-year-old niece who has cystic fibrosis and is autistic.” She takes part in fundraisers, helps with awareness events, and donates to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Autism Awareness Foundation.
With a big, young family, volunteering, and an active real estate career, “people always comment on how crazy my life must be, but I am very organized and on task. I have a routine. I balance family and work. Being well-balanced allows me to be a mom and be present for my kids and allows me to be a REALTOR® and help others full-time.”
Being a mom is important to Savanna, and she has a message for young, single mothers – which she once was. “I had my daughter when I was 19.” She encountered people who questioned whether she’d be successful. “I have a beautiful family and a beautiful home. I feel it’s good for people to see that if you work hard and block out the negative, you can do whatever you put your mind to.”
