TROY STROM

From Small-Town Roots to Real Estate Heights

Troy Strom is a force of nature for real estate. Sweeping through the landscape these past six years, he has set new benchmarks of excellence year over year. Characterized by dynamic energy, impactful presence, and the ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing environment, the impression Troy leaves with his clients is prominent and long-lasting, inspiring kindness, honesty, and strength.

The close, personal nature of Troy’s business is rooted in his small hometown. With only 50 people in his senior class, Troy went on to play college baseball in Arizona and Iowa. While he was away in college, his parents moved to Colorado, which is what ultimately brought him here.

Troy credits his parents, his time in sports, and his previous work experiences at restaurants and in property management for shaping his path—from instilling in him a strong work ethic and the spirit of competition, to having to engage with and help a variety of personalities. He is grateful for all the people in his life who modeled resilience and success.

“There are many people I have looked up to over the years,” Troy shares. “I look up to my father, for surviving a rare disease called encephalitis, my mother who raised three boys, my mother and father in-laws for sharing their paths from rags to riches, and my wife, who continuously supports me and does an incredible job raising our three beautiful children.”

It was Troy’s kids that really inspired him to make the leap into real estate. He had two young daughters and a son on the way when the apartment community that he was managing at the time sold, creating an opportunity for him to reevaluate his career path and life goals. Having been passed up for promotion multiple times at the company he worked for, he was sick of being subjected to corporate perceptions about his work and felt compelled to create his own value, so he could give his family the life they deserved.

Troy entered real estate with the goal of doubling his production every year. And he’s done exactly that. In fact, all that hard work culminated this past year when he received the 2023 DMAR Gold Excellence Award, adding to his past accolades as 2022 Kentwood Top Producer and Homesnap’s Most Prominent Agent.

Real estate fits Troy’s personality so well that the biggest challenge for him is not working. “When I have downtime, I definitely get stir-crazy,” Troy emphasizes. “I’m the kind of person who needs to constantly be out showing properties or chasing a deal. My favorite part of being an agent is ‘the chase.’ I love going out with a buyer, finding the right home for them, and putting the deal together. Calling or meeting with them with the message that they’re now under contract is the best feeling!”

Troy also loves the flexibility that real estate gives to spend time with his family, being able to make all his kids’ sporting events, school concerts and family outings. His wife, Jessica, is an interior designer who loves to get on the back of a motorcycle when she can; his daughter, Saavy, enjoys playing basketball; Lola enjoys soccer; Broxton loves to play baseball; and their two dogs, Geronimo and Vedder enjoy eating, sleeping and cuddling. Troy is a fan of 90s music, grunge, and classic rock, and loves to golf, hunt, and ride his Harley with Jessica on the back.

When it comes to giving back to the community, Troy’s favorite by far is the Evergreen’s Big Chili Cookoff, which supports local First Responders.

As Troy continues to thrive in his real estate career, his goal is simple yet profound: to be remembered for his work ethic, kindness, and honesty, even in the toughest conversations. This desire to uphold integrity in all aspects of his work sets him apart as not just a successful real estate agent, but as a respected and valued member of his community and industry.

There's no doubt he will continue to hit new heights and leave an everlasting impression on the lives of many for years to come.
