Gerard Langhuoth

Perfecting the Art of Real Estate, Relationships, and a Good Cigar

For Gerard Langhuoth, few things compare to enjoying a cigar, making good connections, and lending a hand. Known for his relaxed demeanor but sharp business acumen, Gerard has built a reputation for being the go-to guy. Whether you need advice on buying your first home or are seeking a great contractor (because Gerard always “knows a guy”), his blend of humor, hard work, and community spirit sets him apart in the industry.

Gerard’s journey began in France, where he was born, before his family relocated to Denver when he was eight. Growing up, Gerard was deeply influenced by his family’s entrepreneurial spirit. His parents ran several successful restaurants in Denver, and Gerard played a significant role in managing the family business for over a decade. “The art of interaction, building relationships, and working closely with people was something I learned early on,” Gerard says.

Following roles in pet supply distribution and the hospitality industry—where he notably lead the serving team at the renowned Sushi Den in Denver—Gerard’s interest in real estate solidified when he purchased his first home in 2015. “Like many, I was skeptical about buying a home at first,” he recalls. “But after seeing the financial gains, I wished I had started sooner.” This realization pushed him to immerse himself in real estate, both as a personal investment and as a means to guide others through the home-buying process.

In 2020, Gerard officially became a REALTOR®, joining Guide Real Estate and launching his own brand, Finish Line Properties. Despite launching his career during the COVID-19 pandemic, Gerard rapidly gained traction, using his experience in sales and customer service to establish strong connections with clients. “One of the biggest challenges was gaining traction, especially with the lockdowns. I had to immerse myself in social media, something I wasn’t used to, but it quickly became a tool to build my business.”

Gerard’s authenticity and dedication to his clients are what set him apart. He approaches every transaction with a hands-on mentality, handling everything from staging to cleaning and prepping homes for sale, always with the help of his trusted transaction coordinator, Allison Johnson of No Limit Transactions. “Clients are hiring me, so I make sure to be involved in every phase of the process,” Gerard explains. “From listing prep to removing unwanted items and ensuring every detail is perfect, I’m fully committed to making the process as smooth as possible for my clients.”

For Gerard, real estate is more than just a job—it’s a way to give back to the community and help others achieve financial stability. “I avidly seek to help first-time buyers get into a home,” he says. “Many people think they can’t buy because of high rents or other obstacles, but my lender partners and I work together to create a roadmap for them.”

In addition to his work in real estate, Gerard is a firm believer in supporting local businesses and building a strong community. He’s always the first to recommend a trusted painter, car mechanic, or contractor, and his clients often rely on him as a resource for much more than just real estate advice. “It’s in my DNA to help people,” Gerard emphasizes. “I want to be a source of information and support for my clients, whether it’s finding a home or helping them navigate life in Denver.”

As a lifelong pet lover, Gerard is also passionate about supporting local animal rescues. He adopted his dog, Bessie, from 2 Blondes All Breed Rescue and regularly donates supplies to help other animals in need. “I may not be able to drive the rescue van, but I can help behind the scenes,” he says, laughing.

When he’s not working, Gerard finds solace in weightlifting and cigar smoking. “Weightlifting helps me stay physically and mentally strong, while smoking cigars is my way of relaxing,” he shares. “It’s not just about the smoke; it’s the experience—the conversations, the time to reflect, and the chance to connect with others.”

Looking into the future, Gerard is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for Finish Line Properties. He’s committed to continuing his journey in real estate, helping others build wealth through homeownership, and contributing positively to the community around him. “Success for me isn’t just about reaching a destination,” Gerard shares. “It’s about the journey—helping others, staying authentic, and making a lasting impact.”

Whether he’s closing deals or enjoying a cigar, Gerard brings the same laid-back charm, genuine care, and unwavering work ethic to all he does. His approach to real estate isn’t just about buying and selling homes—it’s about building relationships and being the person people can always rely on. With Gerard, you get more than just a REALTOR®—you get a trusted friend who's always got your back.
