There are many aspects of real estate that Christina Ray enjoys, but the most rewarding part for her is “giving keys to the incredible people and families who are my clients. When clients tell me after we tour a home that that is the home for them, I do everything I can to make sure they get it!” Christina spent ten years in property management before becoming a REALTOR® in 2016. She began her career overseeing large luxury apartment buildings, and as the Director of Operations, she handled training, design, employee management, retention and marketing. “Working in property management is where I fell in love with the process of helping others find a place to call home. A home is not only one of the biggest investments a person makes, it’s also the most personal.”

Christina originally thought she’d become a nurse because she has always had a heart for service, but after realizing she couldn’t deal with blood, she needed to find a different option. “I was about to have my second daughter when I decided that it was time to pursue my dream and get my license. I genuinely believed I could help others with such a monumental decision and could be there to guide them from start to finish. I was terrified to take the leap from a steady income to commission only, but failing was not an option for me. I put my heart and soul into my business, and I’m doing what I love.”

Since moving into real estate, Christina has been honored with numerous awards and recognition, including the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS® (DMAR) prestigious Rookie of the Year award in 2018, DMAR Excellence Awards each year since, Homesnap Top 15% of Agents Nationwide and Reputable Agent Among Peers. While she became a REALTOR® to help others, she also wanted to be her own boss. “I’ve always been an incredibly hard worker and I figured if I work that hard for someone else, how hard would I work for myself?”

Christina has witnessed countless times how agents can make or break a deal for their clients. She prides herself on excellent communication and has had agents tell her that she’s the reason their sellers chose her as their buyers, and her listing marketing, presentation and communication are why their buyers chose her listing. “I mention that because communication is absolutely critical in our job as REALTORS®. When I list homes, I’ve received offers and I never even heard from the agent that submitted it- it just showed up in my inbox. When we’re helping with a buyer’s most important purchase, why wouldn’t you follow up and introduce yourself and explain why your buyers are the best buyers for this home?”

Christina also loves the thrill of competing in a competitive market and the feeling she gets when she tells her buyers the house is theirs. “It’s indescribable! I have always been passionate about education, but now I feel that it’s especially crucial for buyers and sellers. We’re in a complex market and the two words I’m using the most right now are 'preparedness' and 'patience'. I’m always passionate about learning and expert designations because I think an educated agent is the best agent.”

After getting her license almost eight years ago, Christina was very intentional about interviewing brokerages. She knew it was going to be important to align with a brokerage that had values similar to hers, offered a strong training program and put the needs of others above their profits and bottom line. She also wanted to find a locally owned boutique brokerage where she would know all of the agents in her office.

Christina joined Live.Laugh.Denver. Real Estate Group and from the beginning, she received the training and support she was looking for. “From marketing, staging resources, team meetings and planning, I feel fully supported. That helps me focus on my business knowing I have a team to support my business. We’re a team of individuals, but I know any of our agents would help me in a heartbeat!”

Christina and her husband Eric have been married for 8 years. They have two daughters, Brynlee and Brooklynn, and two dogs, a dachshund and a Frenchie. Christina believes that success is having time and financial freedom and never wanting to retire. “I always joke that I’ll be 90 years old still selling real estate because I love it! True success to me is being able to make my own schedule, travel, and provide for my family. I want them to see the importance of hard work and doing what you love. I would like to be remembered for loving my family and friends, always keeping people first in real estate, being kind, and making a positive impact on everyone I meet.”
