When Lindsey Eppink entered the real estate world in 2020, she never imagined how perfectly the profession would align with her passions and lifestyle. Four years and $15 million in career volume later, Lindsey has found her calling at Five Star Real Estate Leaders, where her vibrant personality and dedication to her clients shine. “I never dreamed of becoming an agent, nor did I have any ambitions toward it, but now that I am, it’s the best job I could have ever imagined,” she said.

Lindsey’s journey into real estate was unexpected, but her background in human resources and her talent for connecting with people made the transition seamless. “Having a background in HR definitely helped with my ability to connect with people,” Lindsey explained.

Before diving into real estate, Lindsey ran her own cleaning business, which allowed her to maintain a flexible schedule and prioritize her main job — being at home with her kids. The importance of family is a recurring theme in Lindsey’s life. Growing up in Wyoming, Michigan, and later moving to Holland, she credits her parents for instilling in her the confidence to pursue her dreams. “My parents raised us to be independent thinkers and to have the confidence to do anything we set our minds to,” Lindsey said.

Lindsey became a licensed agent at the end of 2019, but she didn’t fully immerse herself in the industry until the following year. Despite starting during a tumultuous time in 2020, Lindsey’s determination and dedication paid off. She achieved the 100% Club award from RE/MAX for two consecutive years and was listed among the top 100 in the Greater Regional Alliance of REALTORS® (GRAR) for November of 2022. She is also the event director of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR).

Lindsey’s enthusiasm for her work is evident in the energy she brings to every transaction, going above and beyond with each client to ensure that they have a positive experience. “I am passionate about helping people,” Lindsey shared. “This job allows me to meet all kinds of new people and be there alongside them as we navigate the biggest purchase of their lives.”

As a solo agent, Lindsey manages her business with a unique blend of professionalism and warmth. Her approachability and authenticity have earned her a loyal clientele. “I always tell people that they might start out as clients, but we will leave as friends,” she said, smiling. This philosophy not only fosters strong relationships but also makes the entire process enjoyable for everyone involved.

One of Lindsey’s proudest accomplishments outside of real estate is her involvement in her children’s lives. She has coached her son’s baseball team for three years and his soccer team for two. She’s also actively involved in their school — planning events such as carnivals, fundraisers, and field days. In October of 2023, Lindsey completed her first Spartan Race without any training — a testament to her determination and resilience. “It was one of the hardest physical things I’ve ever done, but it was a major accomplishment,” she said.

Lindsey’s husband, Steve, works as a mold maker and shares her enthusiasm for family adventures. Together, with their sons — Tate, 16, and Cale, 12 — they enjoy camping with their two dogs, Reesie and Carmelli. The family’s camper was bought especially for their furry friends so that everyone can join in on the fun.

Lindsey’s charitable spirit is evident in her support and donations to school organizations such as Sleep in Heavenly Peace, which ensures that no child goes without a bed, and 20 Liters, which provides water filtration systems to families in need. Her commitment to giving back to the community is just another reason why Lindsey is such a beloved figure in her field.

When asked about the most rewarding part of her business, Lindsey’s answer is simple: “Helping people — it truly makes my heart happy to go to a closing table and feel the happy energy.” However, she acknowledges that working with people can sometimes be challenging. “The biggest challenge of being in a people business is the people. I have had to walk away from clients who disrespected me, but I won’t let things like that affect my attitude or my business,” she explained.

Lindsey’s advice for new agents is that they should be reliable and authentic. “Anyone who thinks they will just jump into real estate with sales is wrong,” she said. “It will take time to establish your name and your worth, but staying consistent will help. Also, remain true to yourself!”

Lindsey’s sincerity and dedication make her a standout agent and a cherished friend to many. As she continues to thrive in her career, Lindsey remains grounded by the love and support of her family. “My children and husband are my ‘why’ — they are extremely supportive, and I still get to be there for everything that’s important,” she shared.

In an industry where authenticity can sometimes be rare, Lindsey is a breath of fresh air. She is not just an agent: She is a friend, a mentor, and a light shining of positivity.
