After 13 years in a refugee camp, they were granted the opportunity to come to the United States. Through the Kentucky Refugee Ministries, they settled in Lexington and partnered with First Alliance Church in Lexington. Every time I showed them a property, a retired church member with construction skills showed up to help them decide if it was a solid home.
