Lori Jaglois

Leading the Way

Lori Jaglois has been a guiding light of leadership and expertise in the ever-evolving realm of real estate for more than four decades. A dedicated associate broker at Real Estate One, she has a deep passion for helping others succeed in the industry that she loves.

In 1983, Lori embarked on her real estate career with a small company called Future Builders, which was located in Algonac, Michigan. She vividly recalls the challenges of navigating a pre-digital landscape — from driving clients around with maps to the meticulous process of handling offers on carbon copies. “My career started way before computers were being used, as well as fax machines, cell phones, pagers, GPS, and lock boxes,” Lori said. “We used an MLS book to look up properties.”

Despite the hurdles, Lori’s determination and passion for the business never wavered. Inspired by her uncle’s successful real estate venture, Lori knew from a young age that this was her calling. “I found real estate interesting. I liked the idea of helping people find a home,” she shared. This drive to make a difference and witness the joy on clients’ faces when they find their dream home fuels her every day.

Throughout her illustrious career, Lori has amassed a wealth of experience and accolades, including being named REALTOR® of the Year by Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR). Her most significant achievement, however, lies in her role as a mentor and leader. “My focus now is helping sales associates learn the business — coaching them to succeed at whatever level they set their goal at,” Lori said.

Lori’s commitment to nurturing talent and upholding ethical standards sets her apart in a rapidly changing industry. “The biggest challenge I see today is the lack of professional ethics,” she said. “My goal is to lead by example so we can maintain the professional standards in the real estate industry.”

At the heart of Lori’s journey has always been her family. From bringing her children to the office during her early days as a single mom to cherishing moments with her granddaughter, Amirah, family bonds have been her source of strength and inspiration. “It has been very important to me to show my children that hard work pays off. Setting goals and focusing on accomplishing them is your way to a successful life,” Lori shared. “There is a saying that goes ‘you didn’t know how much love your heart could hold until you have a grandchild.’ It is a true statement. Amirah lights up my life. I am also blessed to still have my amazing mother, Irene Bird. My daily calls with her are priceless.”

Lori is deeply passionate about giving back to her community. Breast cancer awareness holds a special place in her heart, with both her daughter Pamela and her younger sister Wendy being survivors. Lori also advocates for shelters that support abused adults and children, demonstrating her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

As Lori reflects on her legacy, she aspires to be remembered as a luminary in the real estate industry. “I hope that I have touched people in a way that has motivated them to be a success in their business and, most importantly, in their lives,” she said. “I want to be remembered as someone who is always standing tall in the real estate industry. Someone who leads with standards and ethics.”

Lori exemplifies the transformative impact of strong leadership and the importance of giving back to others. With her commitment to excellence, she continues to inspire and empower the next generation of real estate professionals to reach new heights of success.
