Catrina "Micky" Galli
Setting Sail in Real Estate
Catrina “Micky” Galli has a heart as vast as the homes that she helps people find. An associate broker at Real Estate One who has six and a half years in the real estate industry, she has cemented her name in the field with her exceptional service.
Micky began her real estate career as an assistant to the esteemed Faye Maraman, absorbing every bit of knowledge like a sponge as she eagerly delved into the world of homebuying and selling. “I originally started to just be her assistant, but as I became more knowledgeable, I expanded my business,” Micky recalled. “It took a little to get started, but after that, I ran with it and have never looked back!”
Before her real estate endeavors, Micky donned multiple hats — from working various outside sales roles to being a devoted stay-at-home mom. However, her love for homes and decorations — and for aiding others in realizing their dreams of homeownership — propelled her toward a career in real estate. “I love helping them fulfill their dreams of homeownership or finding them their dream home!” she said.
Micky’s upbringing and influences have shaped her into the passionate agent she is today. Originally from Ohio, she moved to Arizona and Chicago for a former job before finally settling in Michigan. She draws inspiration from her entrepreneurial mother — who was a real estate agent for a while — and her former manager, Faye Maraman.
For Micky, real estate is about building lasting relationships and making a difference in people’s lives. “I really do love the relationships I build with people,” she said.
Early in her real estate career, one of Micky’s challenges was to build a client base in a new area where she didn’t have any family. She managed to overcome this struggle by becoming involved in her community. “Get out there and meet people, join groups, and do things you love,” she said. “It happens naturally!”
Recently, Micky has found fulfillment in guiding homeowners through the downsizing process. “It has been a pleasure walking them through the process, even throughout the listing appointment,” she shared. “I love hearing their memories in each room and putting them at ease as we go through the process.”
In addition to helping clients with downsizing, Micky finds immense joy in connecting with clients who share her love for sailing, boating, and waterfront living. “I love helping homebuyers who have similar interests,” she said.
When it comes to her career, Micky’s definition of success is “helping others achieve their dreams — as many people as I can.” She hopes that she becomes known for her honesty, hard work and genuine care so that clients will understand that she will do her absolute best for them.
When she looks to the future, Micky envisions expanding her business to assist more families, indulging in dream vacations with her loved ones, and continuing her philanthropic endeavors that support orphanages and women’s shelters in Cambodia and Kenya.
Behind Micky’s thriving business are her pillars of support — her husband, Anthony, and her 21-year-old son, Gino. Their unwavering encouragement and hands-on assistance infuses every aspect of her business with familial dedication.
Outside of the business, Micky enjoys sailing, participating in ministry work, and fundraising for orphanages — showcasing her compassionate nature and commitment to making a positive impact. She and her family also thoroughly enjoy being outside, four-wheeling, looking at classic cars, kayaking and fishing. When it comes to her three beloved dogs, Micky loves taking them for walks around the neighborhood, which is like orchestrating a lively parade of furry joy, their wagging tails and curious noses leading the way.
Aspiring agents looking to follow in Micky’s footsteps are encouraged to soak up knowledge, embrace mentorship, and take consistent action toward their goals. “Learn as much as you can!” she said. “Take all the classes — but don’t just take the classes. Implement what you learn.”
When asked about what she wants to be remembered for, Micky’s answer is as heartfelt as her mission in real estate. “How I made people feel and how I made them feel good about themselves,” she shared. “How I helped them achieve their dreams and goals.”
At the end of the day, Micky is doing more than selling homes: She is building dreams, one relationship at a time. As the sun sets over the tranquil waters of Macomb, Micky’s legacy of compassion and dedication shines brighter than ever.
