Majbrith Brody

A Fighter's Spirit

Majbrith Brody is a fighter. With every challenge she has faced—including leaving Denmark for the United States and stepping away from a successful career to later return to the workforce as a single mother—Majbrith has not only found strength, but also discovered a deep passion for helping people find their place in the world.

Born in Denmark and raised by a single mother, Majbrith grew up in a modest household where perseverance was essential. Her upbringing was deeply influenced by her mother and grandmother, both of whom exemplified resilience and hard work.

But her grandmother was her role model. Widowed at forty-five with no formal education, she took on a grueling job at a spice-packing factory to support her family. The work cost her her hearing and left her with severe arthritis, but she never wavered. “She taught me to persevere,” Majbrith recalls. “She was one of the hardest-working, most stubborn, get-things-done kind of people.”

Majbrith’s own challenges began early. Growing up in a poor area of Denmark, she was told to keep her second-hand clothes a secret, and her family often relied on receiving free bread from the local baker. Quiet and shy as a child, Majbrith found confidence through taekwondo, earning a black belt and learning to push herself beyond her comfort zone. By the age of twelve, she was already working to contribute to the household, further developing her independence.

After graduating from Denmark’s linguistic track in high school, where she studied multiple languages, Majbrith pursued an additional business-focused degree and completed two paid apprenticeships in retail and accounting. She worked full-time while earning her bachelor’s degree in English from Copenhagen Business School, attending classes in the evenings. Her commitment to education and professional growth opened doors to opportunities in accounting, marketing, and administration.

This breadth of experience eventually led to a coveted position with Maersk, Denmark’s largest shipping company. Landing a job there was a significant achievement, as Maersk is known for its rigorous hiring process. It was her role with Maersk that brought Majbrith to the United States at the age of twenty-five. The move marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life.

After years of building a career in finance, Majbrith stepped away from the professional world to take care of her oldest daughter, who was born with moderate to severe Autism. “I was a new mom in a new country, navigating a completely different insurance system with no family or friends to lean on,” she shares. “Most of my time went into researching therapies, diets, and doctors while running to and from appointments with my younger daughter in tow.”

When her marriage ended in divorce, Majbrith needed to rebuild her professional life. She obtained her real estate license in 2017 and found that being a REALTOR® not only reignited her passion, but also allowed her to provide for her family. “I’ve always loved anything house-related,” she explains. “I’ve moved several times—to different countries, states, and towns—and I love the house-hunting process, the negotiations, and seeing the potential in a home. But most of all, I love helping people.”

A REALTOR® with Baird & Warner today, Majbrith brings a unique perspective to her work, blending personal resilience with professional expertise. She’s passionate about building genuine connections with her clients and guiding them through one of life’s most significant decisions. Whether helping a family find their dream home or assisting a first-time buyer, she approaches every transaction with loyalty, integrity, and a commitment to making her clients feel supported every step of the way.

Looking ahead, Majbrith plans to expand her investment property portfolio while continuing to grow her real estate business. “Being in real estate has allowed me to purchase several investment properties, rentals, and flips, and being able to share those personal experiences with my clients helps me be a better agent,” she says.

Outside of work, Majbrith treasures time with her two teenage daughters, Malene and Annika, and her partner, Elliot. She loves attending concerts, musicals, and other shows, many of which feature Annika performing or Malene participating with Libertyville’s Special Gifts Theater. A creative at heart, Majbrith enjoys designing and organizing functional spaces, tackling smaller home projects like wallpapering and painting, and planting flowers in her backyard to relax. In the winter, she channels her creativity into baking.

As Majbrith continues to approach her life and business with resilience, creativity, and determination, she embodies the fighter’s spirit that has carried her through every chapter. She will no doubt continue to inspire others, create meaningful connections, and face every challenge with the strength and passion that define her.
