EMILY LYNCH & SARAH LYNCH
Timeless Values in Action
There are all types of qualities that come into the equation when it comes to creating and sustaining success through time. In many ways, it all comes down to a person’s values and how they share those with the world around them. That’s one of the many areas in which Emily and Sarah Lynch excel.
Selfless Efforts Leading to Results
As sisters-in-law married to twin brothers, Emily and Sarah are prime examples of what can be achieved by putting timeless values into action together. When you talk with them, it’s clear that they treasure having the opportunity to work together in helping others.
“I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t get to do it with her. It’s fun,” Sarah says. “Several members of our family live all together, with our homes all in a row. We have a true family that is so wonderful to be part of. And that goes right to our motto, which is ‘Family-based. Community-driven.’ Plus, we are active members in the Gretna Chamber of Commerce.”
Emily and Sarah have truly been engaged with the chamber. They have both been involved with the events committee, as well as the community outreach committee.
As Emily says, “It’s about wanting to stay involved in what’s happening in and around our community. We grew up in Elkhorn together. Our husbands were a year older than us. We all grew up in Elkhorn and have known each other throughout the majority of our lives. I think that’s why small-town and community structure are very important to us.”
Embarking on Their Path in the Business
Emily got her start in real estate in 2018, with Sarah starting her journey in 2020. As they remember, their start in the business came after they had each enjoyed success in other paths, and as a natural extension of what their spouses were also doing professionally.
“We each had jobs outside of the house. I was a finance manager at Union Pacific and Sarah owned six hair salons with her dad. Our husbands owned RCI Roofing Supply Company at the time. They sold the business in 2015 and they started doing land development and trying to buy chunks of land,” Emily says. “They encouraged both of us to get our licenses and assist them in buying and selling property.”
Building Forward
It wasn’t long before land was purchased at 168th and Cornhusker, and their husbands, Todd and Dennis developed Tiburon Point.
“We built the office here. At the time, I was still in my corporate job and Sarah was running the salons. Then, in February 2022, I quit my Union Pacific job,” Emily remembers. “I started doing real estate full-time in February 2022 and Sarah joined back in June 2022.”
Those who see the way Sarah and Emily work together know that their teamwork is a natural fit. “In everything we do, we just have a very straightforward approach,” Sarah says. “We complement each other and we just get it done together.”
Emily agrees, adding, “We mirror each other. We move in parallels together. Our minds are usually on the same wavelength. We each have our strengths and fill each other’s voids. She has a great design eye and talent for the financial side, and I like doing social media, as well as going out, shaking hands and meeting people more frequently.”
An All-Around Family Dynamic
Family is fully intertwined in life and work for Emily and Sarah. And that’s a dynamic that they clearly love. Emily and her husband, Todd, look forward to time with their children, including Kaden, Gavin, Zander and Sadie. Away from work, one of the favorite free-time pursuits for Emily and her family to share is travel — especially internationally whenever possible.
Sarah and her husband, Dennis, cherish time with their children, their son Tyson and daughter Ava. In their free time, Sarah and her family look forward to getting away to their condo in Florida. They also enjoy time at the pool.
Emily and Sarah also like to give back, through involvement in groups such as Gretna Chamber of Commerce, Gretna Days Foundation, and the Public School Foundation.
When you love what you do, it rarely feels like work. Sure, there are days that are smoother than others. But in the end, it’s all part of pursuing a direction in life and business that you feel good about … one that suits you. That certainly describes the dynamic that’s at work with Emily and Sarah Lynch … as they put timeless values of hard work, care, empathy and thoroughness to work each day for those around them.
As Emily says with a warm smile, “This really does not feel like work to us; it’s just what we do. And Sarah and I do it well together.”
