Gregg Amaral

From Agent to Franchise Leader

Gregg Amaral's journey into the world of real estate is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and passion for helping others. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Gregg moved to South Florida 20 years ago at the age of 14. After graduating from Jupiter High School, he went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Everglades University. His path into real estate was influenced by his mother, a broker in both Boston and South Florida, with whom he decided to work after obtaining his real estate license upon returning from the Air Force.

"After becoming a successful single agent, I opened up the brokerage in 2017," Gregg shares. His love for working with the public and assisting them through transactions has been a key factor in his successful career. He prides himself on his relentless work ethic, stating, "I love my work and guarantee I work harder than most. Working 24/7 is something I pride myself on so my clients and my agents know I’m always here for them."

After achieving success as a top-producing agent, Gregg identified gaps in the brokerage industry, such as a lack of training, technology, and hands-on help for agents. This realization led him to establish his own brokerage with a true "agent first" motto. Gregg emphasizes, "Surprisingly, most offices are not agent-focused. We are changing that." His focus on quality over quantity has helped his office become one of the best boutique offices in South Florida, although finding the right agents remains an ongoing challenge.

Gregg's inspiration comes from helping people, whether it's seeing an agent close their first transaction or assisting a top producer in overcoming legal challenges. "There is nothing more gratifying than seeing an agent cross the finish line on their first transaction or helping a top-producing agent increase sales," he explains. His approach to goal-setting is forward-thinking, always looking ahead to where he wants his business to be. "Once we set those goals, we work harder than anyone to achieve them," Gregg asserts.

A typical workday for Gregg starts early, with a visit to the gym followed by answering calls and emails. His commitment to his business is evident in his around-the-clock work ethic, whether he's at the office or working from home. Currently, a significant portion of his time is spent on legal meetings and recruiting efforts as he works towards franchising his business.

While Gregg does not formally have a mentor, he leans heavily on his mother, Dede Amaral, who has over 25 years of experience in the industry and serves as the office admin. Gregg attributes his core strengths to helping people and putting them before himself and profits.

One of Gregg's top achievements is creating a competitive office in the hottest real estate market in South Florida from scratch, without relying on family money, name, or resources. "Starting this business from scratch with nothing but my own will and determination is extremely gratifying," he reflects.

Outside of work, Gregg enjoys golf, hockey, and traveling, particularly to the Bahamas and the Northeast in the summer.

Gregg places immense value on balancing his professional and personal life. While his business is a significant part of his identity, he also understands the importance of dedicating time to family and friends. By prioritizing personal relationships, Gregg remains grounded and maintains the energy needed to excel professionally. For Gregg, true success is measured not just by professional achievements but also by the quality of personal relationships and the joy they bring.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Gregg Amaral is deeply committed to giving back to the community through charitable activities. He sat on the board of governors for the Miami Real Estate Association. He has served on the board of governors for Little Smiles, an organization dedicated to helping children in need by providing them with support and joy during difficult times. His dedication to philanthropy was further recognized when he was nominated as Man of the Year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, an honor that highlights his efforts in fundraising and raising awareness for cancer research. Gregg's involvement in these causes underscores his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the realm of real estate.

Looking ahead, he is excited about franchising and licensing his business model within and outside of Florida. Gregg's "why" is centered around his family and his agents, whom he considers one and the same. "Helping them realize their goals and dreams on a daily basis is the most gratifying experience of my job," he says. "Creating a future for my family is important as well."

Gregg Amaral's story is one of determination, passion, and a relentless drive to help others succeed. His journey from a high school graduate in Boston to a successful real estate broker in South Florida is truly inspiring, and his future looks even brighter as he continues to expand and innovate in the industry.
