Cameron Willmann | Haus Property Group

Dedicated. Driven. Destined for Success.

“I’ve been a REALTOR® since April Fools' Day in 2007,” says Cameron Willmann, who recalls the moment fondly. To date, he and his team, the Haus Property Group at Keller Williams Realty, have sold over $273 million in sales and served over 1,000 clients.

Prior to entering real estate, Cameron enjoyed being a server at a local restaurant, The Wharf, and an outbound sales agent for a Fox affiliate in San Angelo, Texas, after graduating college. “I got a degree from Angelo State University in music and communications as a double major. I was originally a trumpet major but ended up switching to a vocal major after freshman/sophomore year,” he explains. While finishing that degree, he decided to double major in communications and studied public relations and advertising as a specialization.

He became a REALTOR® after a friend’s brother started a brokerage in Midland. A few conversations full of encouragement from friends and his future broker were all it took for Cameron to do some research on the real estate industry and venture into his new career path.

“I looked like I was 16 when I first started,” he jokes. Although everyone thought he was younger than he was, Cameron didn’t let this deter him.

A Solid Work Ethic

One quality that makes Cameron a skilled REALTOR® is his solid work ethic. As he says, “I’ve always been trained to work. My parents were instilling a work ethic in us constantly and did a great job teaching my brother and me the value of quality work. I come from a family of hardworking teachers and farmers.”

Realizing that he had to work for what he gets in life, Cameron knew that overcoming anything was simply a matter of knowledge and time on task. In real estate, he was eager to learn and wanted to be the best that he could.

“I am continuing to work on the skillset of connecting with people and to serve and consult versus going at real estate from a sales perspective,” he explains. Cameron excels in connecting with people and finding how he can help in their real estate journey.

“I started my property management business a few years ago for that reason,” he comments. “I’m passionate about service in all ways.”

To serve his clients, Cameron excels in time management and running his life on a schedule. As he says, “We have all the same 24 hours in a day and it’s our decision on what to do with it. Time is a gift, and it’s our responsibility to give it to others wisely and ensure those commitments are protected.”

Focused on Family

When Cameron isn’t working, he savors time with his family. “My wife and I met in college,” he explains. “We’ve been together for 20 years and married for just over 14 years.” Together, they have two children, their daughter, Poppy (6), and their son, Lincoln (4). They also have one 16-year-old dog from Cameron’s college days.

Cameron jokes, “We don’t do a lot outside of children, except investing in our businesses. We have a camper and go out and do that with the kids. We take them to as many places as we can and do things like that.”

An avid theatergoer, Cameron and his wife like plays and movies. They also like hanging out in local bars and restaurants, especially since Cameron and his wife met and worked in one during his college years. Cameron also enjoys giving back to the communities that give him so much.

Giving Back

“If I have the opportunity to serve, I’m going to,” says Cameron. He is very involved in volunteering at the local, state and national REALTOR® associations. “I want to give my time on this Earth to make a difference in some way, form or fashion, whether that is on a real estate team, training agents or volunteering with the REALTOR® association.”

Cameron is inspired by the words of his father. “We have a responsibility in life to leave it better than we found it,” he says. That is his motivation.

A Quest for Knowledge

Cameron has some tips for other REALTORS®. He comments, “Play your game. Stay in touch with the people that you know. Learn your craft. Have a knowledge of what this business is for you, how it works, and become a master of your craft.”

Cameron found traction in the real estate industry, following his passion and making it his profession. He loves what he does, and it shows with his dedication and determination.
