AMY MARCH

For 13 years, Amy March had a very different sales routine than that of a realtor’s: She was in the office at 7:30 AM, out of the office knocking on doors by 8 AM, and back to the office after a long, full day of selling copiers.

After high school, Amy, a Marshfield native, began working for a company called A-Copy in their administrative office. Just six months into the job, she began working in sales.

“I was 18 years old, in a suit with a briefcase,” she says.

Amy’s a go-getter, so her age didn’t stop her from rising the ranks at A-Copy. She became a Sales Manager and later a Major Account Representative.

This school of hard knocks was an excellent sales boot camp, but it was no place to work with a family on the way.

“It wasn’t a job you could do with kids, " she says, "so I left when I was six months pregnant with my first.”

With her first son on the way and the only job she had known behind her, ever-resourceful Amy turned to her family.

Growing up, her mother had sold real estate throughout the 70s and 80s and her sister had also worked in real estate. When her sister moved to North Carolina in 2000, there was an opening. Amy saw an opportunity to follow in her family's footsteps and make a career change that would better suit her lifestyle as a mother.

But it turned out to be more than an opportunity—that switch turned into Amy’s passion and a fulfilling career, plus it has meant that hundreds of homeowners and buyers on the South Shore have been lucky enough to work with someone as hard-working and thoughtful as Amy March.

She joined Success!, which had a supportive team of seasoned brokers, and picked right up where her sister had left off. In no time, Amy was one of the top agents in the office.

Amy's success as a realtor can be attributed to her work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication to her clients. You can find Amy cleaning or painting her listings herself, even planting flowers in her clients’ yards.

“I make sure that everything is perfect before a house hits the market,” she says.

In an industry where relationships are everything, you need more than a strong work ethic. Amy has an honesty and integrity that tether people to her during their purchase process.

“I’m not a pushy person, I don’t like to apply pressure to situations,” Amy says. “I want everyone to be happy and I want to make sure my clients are in the right place beyond the next six months of their life.”

“I’ve probably talked people out of buying more homes than I’ve sold,” she jokes.

“But I truly love my job, I get to see people be so happy in the end,” Amy says. “It’s by far my favorite part of the job when something closes and you get to see the people you worked so hard for be ecstatic.”

Another factor for Amy’s lasting success has been her embrace of the ever-changing technology in the industry. Her use of social media has endeared her to clients and community members alike.

When she’s not getting a house in perfect market shape, Amy spends time with the loves of her life: her husband Joe and two sons, Jake and Nick, and their two rescue dogs. She loves to entertain friends and family, and she enjoys fostering dogs.

“When I think back on my career one day, I just want to know that I’ve helped people find their dream homes and achieve their goals.”

At the end of the day, it's not just about the paycheck for Amy, it’s about the satisfaction of seeing her clients succeed.
