Meet Rising Star Olivia Bone
My parents, younger brother Madden and I moved to Spokane when I was nine years old. I thought my dad had become a millionaire overnight because our new house in the big city was two stories with a three-car garage. We loved our life here, and quickly fell in love with Spokane. I truly have the greatest family. They taught me early that I can do whatever I put my mind to. I am forever grateful for my parents' undying belief in my dreams. As for my brother Madden, I hope he’ll be my business partner one day.
A month before high school graduation, my life trajectory changed in what felt like overnight. My parents let me know that they were moving back to Arkansas to take care of our family. I was given the option to go back with them or make it on my own in Spokane. This turned out to be the best thing that has ever happened to me. I had no money, no family west of the Mississippi, no credentials and no idea what I was going to do. From day one, I knew I wanted to stay but I had no clue how to support myself. I had watched Ryan Serhant sell multi-million dollar condos in New York City on YouTube and thought to myself, “I could do that.” So, I dropped out of community college and got my real estate license.
I will never forget my first day in real estate. I had -$51.12 in my bank account, one pair of professional shoes, and a dream. It was sink or swim for me. My first year was a straight hustle. And it wasn't for nothing, I closed $6M that year. Kylene and Jody, REALTORS® I met my first week in the business, were my saving grace. I was eager to learn from the best. They taught me how to write aggressive contracts, how to be firm, and how to get deals closed for my clients. We are still great friends and talk almost every day. I am so grateful for their guidance and care as I make moves in my career and my life.
God has been my guiding light throughout my entire career. I always go back to Psalm 57:2, “I cry out to God most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.” I am constantly asking God to fulfill his purpose for me. I ask him to test me, and show me the way through hardship and failure. I delight in his presence, and pray that he will shine through me.
I'm used to being in rooms that intimidate me. I’m sure you can imagine how being one of the youngest REALTORS® in the county means that I continuously have a lot to prove to those around me. When you miss a beat, it's noticeable - especially when you don't look a day over 19. This is a lifelong career for me and I've spent the past three years getting a solid grasp of my market. I'm ready to tell anyone and everyone all about it. I hustle like my business depends on it, because it does.
No one makes it alone. Adam and Laura Salas have taught me so much. I learned the invaluable lesson of consistency in my business. Consistently putting in office hours, building my social media and looking for new opportunities. They continue to hold me accountable and push me to my limits. My confidence changed after putting in the work. They both encourage me to be better every day.
Most days, I have more bags than Louis Vuitton. I give my clients what they need, when they need it. Respect is earned, not given. I fight to earn the respect and trust of my clients long before they purchase a home with me. Do you need me to show you a house at 9 PM before your flight takes off? I’ll be there, and I’ll bring a few more homes to see if we have time to squeeze them in. That is how I've built rapport with my clientele and their referrals. Excellence always stands out.
Real estate is a competitive business and the odds have always been against me. I focus on putting one foot in front of the other every day and do my best to remember, they can knock me down but they will never knock me out. More than anything, it's my clients who inspire me to keep pushing forward. Seeing their dreams of homeownership come to reality is what makes my world go round. To my clients, friends and family, thank you for supporting my business. I couldn't do it without you!

How does real estate fit into your dreams and goals?
Real estate ignited my need to give. One day I want to have my own team that I can provide the knowledge and skills to watch them take off, and succeed in their own goals and dreams. I want to help agents like myself, who never thought they could accomplish something so big.
Define success.
I see success as a way of being. Being impeccable with your word, being strong and staying in the fight when you feel like giving up. Staying true to yourself, when the world around you tries to pull you in a million different directions. Easier said than done, but perfect practice makes perfect.
What agent in our MLS do you most admire?
Tracy Penna is a total boss. In the short interactions I've had with her, she communicates in such a way that is so powerful, yet so soft. I have always admired her and her business.
