Sturdy Real Estate
The process of moving from one home to another is, as you know, one of the most stressful situations in life for many people.
That sense of uncertainty and fear of the unknown can be greatly magnified when a person moves from one region of the country to another.
On Their Side
Luckily, those who move to the area have professionals like Rebekah Jones on their side to see them through.
As a real estate agent and Team Leader of Peach Team Realtors with Sturdy Real Estate, Rebekah provides warm welcomes and real results for them and their family members.
“That’s the most rewarding part of what I do,” Rebekah says with a smile.
“We’ve been able to get to know so many people from all walks of life. I appreciate having the chance to help people from out of state move to Missouri. So many people are moving to the Midwest right now.”
Working Her Plan
Rebekah earned her real estate license in March 2020. As she recalls, the business had been in the back of her mind and had been something she discussed with her father, Tom Medforth.
Tom earned his license at the end of 2019. When Rebekah earned her license, she went part-time in her work as an insurance agent, and she created the team with her father.
They encountered obvious challenges as they got underway during the pandemic. In many ways, they were cut off from in-person learning opportunities and meetings that normally would have been available.
“As it turned out, we had a few people we could touch base with who helped us,” she says. “We just took the approach that we knew we needed to figure out a lot of this on our own.”
Signs of Success
Their success since those early days has continued to build. With resilience, determination and service, they have recorded more than 220 transactions representing over $55 million.
Today, they lead a team of six agents (including Rebekah’s husband, Tyler) that carries a real family feeling. Tyler and Rebekah are also proud to involve their 6-year-old twin sons, Kaleb and Emery, who are honorary members of the team.
“They love helping out with what we do. We do this as a family. They go to showings and they even have name tags. They are part of what we do and why we do what we do,” Rebekah points out.
“One of the biggest things I learned is someone said someone told me you can’t balance work and family. Instead, learn to blend it all together so that everyone gets a piece of the puzzle. Our kids are blended in and spend a lot of time with us because they do work with us. As a result, we get to have so much time together.”
In their free time, Tyler, Rebekah and their family enjoy camping, as well as attending baseball games.
Community Engagement
When it comes to serving the needs of the community, Rebekah has stayed very engaged through time. She is Chair of the Community Development Team at the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors.
She is also a big part of the success story at the Community Kitchen of Republic—helping to produce and provide three meals a week to those in need.
As Rebekah continues to build and serve the needs of her clients, she also shares helpful words of advice for new agents.
“First, just remember to hit the ground running. Work hard. Smaller transactions at the start will help you plug in and help you build over time,” she points out. “Plus, don’t overlook the importance of networking and looking to those who have more experience than you.”
No matter the season or what the market is doing, Rebekah’s clients and team members know that she is there for them to help them reach real results.
