United for a Cause: HACSM Food Pantry’s Impact on Local Families

Highland Area Christian Service Ministry (HACSM) is pleased to announce that we have once again been selected as a member of the 2024–2026 Safety Net cohort with the United Way of Greater St. Louis!
As a safety net agency, we will receive $32,679 to help fund our shared mission of mobilizing the community with one goal in mind — helping people live their best lives.
In 2024, 625 households (1,328 individuals) registered for services, including food from our pantry and programs such as LIHEAP, SNAP, Medical, and License Plate Discount assistance. Thank you to the entire Greater St. Louis region — across 16 counties in Illinois and Missouri — for generously supporting agencies like ours during the annual United Way campaign.
The Highland Food Pantry (HACSM) is a food assistance organization that serves individuals and families in need. We provide free food to those experiencing food insecurity in the Highland area. Many food pantries like ours rely on donations and volunteers to help meet the needs of our communities. In addition to food assistance, we offer resources such as SNAP, LIHEAP, counseling, rent, and utility assistance.
If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Diane Williams or contact (618) 654-9295.
