Monica Zseltvay

A Heart of Service (and Laughter)

“My passion in life is to make sure people feel appreciated and valued. Everything I do comes
from a heart of service,” Monica Zseltvay begins.

Growing up in North Carolina, Monica was raised with church and family at the center of her
life. That allowed her to settle into life with strong values. Family and faith remain top
priorities, and Monica continually works to help others tap into their inherent self-worth.

“We all have challenges. There are so many things that go on in people’s lives behind the ‘I’m
doing okay’ face. There are a lot of people struggling. One of my goals is to help people feel
valued and know they are not alone,” she continues.

Monica has settled into life as a REALTOR® for the past 11 years. Her career has not only
provided her with a means to provide for her family; real estate has become an outlet for her
highest values. As an agent, she gets the opportunity to help others feel loved every single
day.

Before starting her real estate career in 2013, Monica had a rich and varied professional life.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in interior architectural design from UNC Greensboro in 1994
and ran her own interior design business, MK Design, for over a decade. She’s also spent
several years as a staging and set designer at the High Point Furniture Market, worked as a
fitness trainer at Gold's Gym, helped open several restaurants for a large corporation, and was
a project manager for a grant program at UNCG.

Monica’s husband, Aaron, is a homebuilder. One day, Aaron casually suggested she get her
real estate license to sell the homes he built. But Monica’s real estate venture quickly turned
into much more. She grew her business quickly through dedication and the desire to help
others.

Monica has now been thriving in real estate for eleven years. She’s used her love for
relationship-building to excel year after year. As a member of the Elite Realty Group with
Keller Williams, over the years Monica has been able to help so many families and individuals purchase or sell their homes. She is incredibly grateful for her team, particularly her team leader and mentor, Crystal Rierson-Villeneuve.

“I have been a part of Crystal’s team from day one of my journey as a REALTOR® and owe so
much of my growth and success to her,” Monica beams.

Monica’s success can be attributed to her focus on relationships and steadfast problem-solving
skills. She lives by the mantra, “There is always a solution. We just have to figure out what it
is.” She’s willing to go above and beyond for her clients, encouraging them not to overextend
themselves and instead let her take care of the details. Whether cleaning out a fridge or
walking a client’s dog during a showing, Monica is willing to go the extra mile. The result is
happy clients that come back and want to refer family and friends.

“I care about people. It’s not about real estate. It’s about relationships. They know that, and
that’s why they come back to me. I don’t think about the paycheck. I do my job and do it well.
“If there is one thing I’d want people to know about me, it’s that I care. That’s it. I simply love
serving people. In my business, I don't sell anything. I serve others as their REALTOR®.”

The Wisdom of a Mother
Monica has two grown daughters. Her oldest, Meredith, is married to Nolan, whom she met at
UNCW; they now live in Raleigh. Her youngest, Jordan, recently graduated college. She lives
in Greensboro and is working towards going to school to become a physician assistant. Monica
and her husband, Aaron, have been married since 2013. Monica also enjoys tennis, exploring
Greensboro’s parks, and drinking coffee — but her team has her on a two cup limit! “As I have
gotten older, I have learned a thing or two about life. One of the big ones is that life is too
short not to laugh. Laugh a lot. Find humor. Find joy.”
