Stacy Parent

Continuing a Legacy

“I want my clients to feel like family. If I see them in the grocery store or Costco, I run up and
hug them and hope they are happy in their house. That’s how I want to leave all my clients.”

From the moment she began her real estate career, Stacy Parent knew she was in the right
place. As any successful agent knows, building a real estate business is a challenging task.
However, with the right mentor and the right approach, Stacy overcame those early business-
building obstacles and found her path to success. She’s now been thriving in real estate for
nearly 20 years.

For Stacy, success isn’t strictly about profits or sales numbers; it’s about the people she serves.

“I love the people. It was the right fit for me from the beginning,” Stacy smiles.

Southern Hospitality

Fueled by a poor experience as a first-time homebuyer, when she did not have the knowledge
or representation she deserved, Stacy launched her real estate career in 2005. She has been
with Coldwell Banker Advantage since, spending the first nine years of her career on Linda
Faircloth’s team.

“When my husband and I bought our first house, we were young. It was a dual-agency
situation, and we didn't have any representation. We didn't know anything about the process,”
Stacy reflects. “So I knew what I wanted to provide as far as real estate service goes, especially to young people and first-time home buyers.”

Linda's mentorship and guidance gave Stacy an ideal launching pad for continued success.
Now, as she leads her own real estate group, The Piedmont Realty Group, she aspires to
follow in Linda’s footsteps as a mentor, friend, and advocate for her agents.

“I want to pass on the legacy of southern real estate, Linda-style,” Stacy smiles. “Having heart.
Being adaptable. Emphasizing trust. Linda was the best mentor and encourager someone
could ask for. Linda would always go into a meeting and look for the table with one or two
people and say, ‘Come on, Stacy, let’s go sit down.’ I want to continue her legacy of making
people feel seen. I want them to feel trust in us. I want to pass on what was done for me to my
agents.”

Piedmont Realty Group

When Stacy broke off from Linda’s team to become independent in 2014, she had Linda’s full
support. In fact, Linda would often reach out to her and ask how she was doing and if she
could help in any way.

As a group leader, Stacy aspires to offer agents the same type of encouragement. She’s
adamant that she’s running a real estate group, not a team.

“These girls remind me of myself when I was starting. They have little children. They are
wonderful moms. They have so much ahead of them, so much potential,” Stacy shares. “If I had them on a team, all their production goes under me, and I'm not helping them by doing that. I want to build them as independent agents. I want their careers to be long-lasting and help them build their own reputation.”

The Piedmont Realty Group includes Stacy, Erin Sikes, and Dustin Hackett Jones. In 2023,
Stacy closed an impressive 29 deals for $13.5 million, and she is tracking to improve upon
those numbers in 2024.

The Drive to Serve

Another way Stacy follows in her mentor’s footsteps is through her commitment to serving
both buyers and sellers. While many top agents focus on sellers, Stacy says she will never
stop working with buyers. She continues running her own open houses and showings, too.
Harkening back to her experience as a young, first-time homebuyer, she believes in having
buyer protection and selling real estate for the right reasons.

“I want my buyers to know who I am, and one day, I may become their listing agent when their
life changes,” Stacy explains. “I also don't think of my clients as customers. I find something
about them that makes them unique, understand their concerns, and create more than just a
business relationship. I want to be more than just a real estate person for them. This business,
for me, is and always has been all about the relationships.”

Fun Fact

Stacy and her husband, Mark, relocated to North Carolina from Vero Beach, Florida in their
early 20s. “Mark had just finished fire school. We closed our eyes, put a map on the wall, and
put thumbtacks on a few different places. One of the places we tacked was Greensboro. We
were 22 and 23. He came up here, got a firefighter job, and then we moved here. We came
here with nothing.”
