Ni Ni
Garrett Realty Partners
Ni Ni moved to the United States knowing only “yes” and “no” in English and now runs a thriving real estate business. As an agent, she doesn't believe her role is to merely sell housesm but to also take the time to educate her clients. Ni Ni is devoted to both her clientele and family alike and is conscientious about how she can best help those around her.
With a recognizable voice, Ni Ni is warm and approachable, making connecting with her clients second nature. Her dedication to her work is evident in her availability — "as long as my eyes are open,” she comments about her willingness to answer the phone at all hours of the day.
Ni Ni was born and raised in Burma and speaks four languages: Zotung (her first language), Hakha Chin, Burmese and now English. She and her husband, Ceu Ling, moved to America in 2009, and while a new start was exciting, it also presented its own set of challenges. Ceu, who is a contractor, experienced difficulty finding work, and Ni Ni recalls being abruptly rejected from a job interview. Although this encounter hurt deeply, it served as a catalyst for her to pursue a career in real estate.
“I want to be my own boss,” Ni Ni recalls saying. She had been interested in the industry since she was 10 years old, and Ceu had encouraged her to get her license, which would complement his contracting business quite well. Together, they make a great team, and Ni Ni’s next goal is to start flipping houses.
Initially, Ni Ni prayed that she would find the right brokerage and is grateful to have joined Garrett Realty Partners. “Great support, great leadership team,” she remarks. She’s received great training through the brokerage, particularly from the principal broker, Chuck, who has trained her in contracts, which has aided in scaling her business.
Ni Ni finds many rewarding aspects of her work. “I love it when clients decide to work with me and trust me,” she says. Getting to play a part in her clients finding and purchasing their dream homes also brings her much fulfillment. When Ni Ni isn’t working, she goes to her favorite shopping location, Patrick Henry Mall, and finds closing gifts for her clients. She studied marketing in school and enjoys creating content, and she stays active on social media. In addition to being able to support her family, she also appreciates the flexible schedule that she has as a REALTOR®. “I can pick my son up from school,” she comments.
Ni Ni comes from a large family, being the middle child of 10 children, and now her older brother and sister live with her in the States. She and Ceu had an arranged marriage 15 years ago, and they have a deep respect and appreciation for one another. They have a 13-year-old son named Victor, and they like to pray together as a family and go fishing during the summer months.
The drive and determination that Ni Ni possesses are indisputable. From entering a new country and culture to operating her own flourishing business, she exemplifies what is possible through hard work. Although she has only been in the real estate industry for about three years, her passion for helping her clients achieve their goals has grown — and continues to grow — at an exponential rate.
"Ni Ni is one of those rare people who is destined to succeed. In a business where the 'average' agent sells 11 homes annually, she sold 35 in her first year, earning the prestigious “Rookie of the Year” award in a REALTOR® Association of more than 1,100 agents. In her second year, Ni Ni earned the Association’s top production award, while at the same time receiving numerous accolades for superior customer service. Her drive, determination and 'customer-first' attitude set her apart as a true leader in the industry." —Chuck Dunlap, Principal Broker at Garrett Realty Partners
