"If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door."

"Life is like the monkey bars: you have to let go to move forward. Once you make the decision to leap into entrepreneurship, be sure to loosen your grasp on old concepts so you can swing your way to new ones." -Leah Busque

Watch out Real Estate world, this month's Rising Star is going to set records! Meet Meredith!

No. 1 goal in 2023 —  Make the jump!

Define success: Real estate success to me is when past clients refer business to me. I love when I have a client comes to me because someone else saying "You've got to call Meredith!"

How long have you been a REALTOR? 4 Years

What was your motivation for starting your real estate career? I really felt motivated to get into the business to help younger buyers. The best part and most rewarding part for me is when a buyer, who was told they could not be approved for a home, walks into the closing ready to sign paperwork and make the American dream come true! I love overcoming all obstacles!

How does real estate fit your personality? I am very competitive. So the competitive nature of sales really jives with me.

Old School vs New School:  I am an old-school "planner" type of person.

What are you passionate about right now in your business?  I really love the problem-solving aspect of the business. It is like working on a puzzle. That goes back to the competitive nature side of the business.

What is your superpower: Critical thinking. I never give up on anything.

Tell us about your family: I am engaged to Seth, who works with Sloan Inspections. We have been together for 5 years. We have a stepson, Dexter.

Outside of real estate, what does Meredith like to do? I have two huge dogs, and two cats, I love the outside and hiking, I guess you could say I am adventurous.

TV show: Game of Thrones.

One thing you would change about the industry: I wish the appraisal side was easier. We have no control over that part.

Are there any charities or organizations you are passionate about? I sponsor a school in South Africa. I am very passionate about education.

Favorite part of being a REALTOR? I enjoy the fact that every day, every deal, and every client is different and unique.

Craziest deal: This is easy... On the day of closing they called and said the seller just filed for bankruptcy. My buyer was moving here from out of state, already packed his uhaul and was parked in the driveway. Luckily we made it work and closed two months later. CRAZY!

Weirdest thing you have ever seen in a house: I showed a house one time and in the basement they created a hot tub room complete with dirt floors. That was interesting.

Describe your perfect vacation: Safari to Africa.

The one place you would love to visit? Italy.
